Dale Alfred Jensen, 85, of San Antonio, Texas passed away after a long illness on Friday evening, September 1st , 2017 at Kindred Hospice in San Antonio, TX.
Dale was born on November 24, 1931 in Rushville, Nebraska to Alfred and Rosa Jensen. He graduated from Assumption Academy in 1949 in Chadron, Nebraska. After graduation he served briefly in the Army. He married Dorothy Eisenbraun on December 2nd, 1961 in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Dale Alfred Jensen, 85, of San Antonio, Texas passed away after a long illness on Friday evening, September 1st , 2017 at Kindred Hospice in San Antonio, TX.
Dale was born on November 24, 1931 in Rushville, Nebraska to Alfred and Rosa Jensen. He graduated from Assumption Academy in 1949 in Chadron, Nebraska. After graduation he served briefly in the Army. He married Dorothy Eisenbraun on December 2nd, 1961 in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Dale worked for Summit Construction Company and Summit Signs and Supply in Rapid City, SD. In 1983 he moved to San Antonio after 25 years with Summit. Dale worked for Ron Kenning Construction until his retirement in 1989. In his younger years Dale enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating. In his later years Dale enjoyed joke-telling and recipe collecting, completing plastic canvas projects, TV cooking shows, gardening, internet surfing and music collecting.
Dale is survived by his wife Dorothy of 55 years, one daughter Bonnie Jensen-DuBois, her husband David DuBois, one grandson Jeremy Oyler and his wife Whitney (Rathke) Oyler and one granddaughter Felicia Oyler, one sister-in-law, Ida Neiffer (Custer), one brother-in-law, Roger Eisenbraun and his wife Valerie (Denver), as well as numerous nieces and nephews, many still in South Dakota.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Rosa (Shafer) Jensen, his only sister Mary Cooper and her husband Col. Robert E. Cooper, Retired.
A Visitation for Dale will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. and a Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX. 78148. Burial will be at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home.
