By faith we rejoice in the knowledge that Tom now walks in the light of peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Thomas M. Belk, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 64 with his wife by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents Carlton H. Belk & Erna Strobl Belk, and sister Edith Belk Riordan. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, son Garrett, granddaughter Ke'Morah, twin brother Timothy I. Belk (Diana), brother Carl H. Belk, Jr. (Carol), and sister Susan Belk Heard (Brandon), nieces and nephews, and amazing friends.

Tom had a quiet soul and the most generous heart. He loved history, anything military, canoeing with his brother and friends, playing baseball, bowling, billiards, gardening, singing, and playing with his kids. His kids included all the neighborhood boys that came to play pool night after night. He was a huge fan of the University of Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. He had a wonderful career at Bexar Appraisal District where he was blessed with many lifelong friendships. He was dearly loved by his in-laws as a son, brother, and uncle. We are honored to have been a part of his journey, and we will miss him.

A celebration of his life will be at Windcrest United Methodist Church on January 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow on a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Windcrest United Methodist Church Music Ministry, or another charity of your choice.
